Namaste. The Light in me salutes the Light in you.
My name is Julia Romano. I'm a Temporary Permit Counselor in West Virginia, under clinical supervision with Mind Body Wellness, a Morgantown-based clinical practice with the mission to guide individuals on a transformative journey toward holistic well-being.
I’m also a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT, 2016) with masters in yoga therapy (2015), clinical psychology (2013), and conflict management (2009).
I’m a therapist, writer, and mother of four. I see my work as guide and partner in your process of unraveling dysfunctional patterns of the mind so that you may live to learn more joyfully.
I offer private, one on one yoga-as-therapy, and specialize in working with women in periods of transition, grief, and acceptance.
I write about the teacher that is Motherhood, and the healing a new mother may find through the development of awareness. You can now order my book The Whole Mother: Developing Awareness in Service of Postpartum Healing (Singing Dragon, July 2024).
I write on Substack about parenthood and yoga therapy.
I do this work because it is my soul purpose; to share this practice is to do the work of my heart. I am, ultimately, only a guide. My role is to create the space so that you can hear more clearly the voice of your real Teacher, your wisdom and discernment. It's that experience that transforms the practice of yoga - and life -into one that empowers body, mind, and Spirit.
